Wink Online Cinema hosted the premiere of “It’s Hard to Become a God,” a major domestic series based on the cult science fiction work of the Strugatsky brothers. The authors of the project describe their creation as a spectacular drama in the spirit of Game of Thrones and Dune, immersing viewers in the gloomy atmosphere of medieval Arkanar.
According to the plot, Earthling Anton disguises himself as Don Lumata of Estor, a wealthy aristocrat, and travels to a backward planet as an observer. Strict rules prohibit agents from intervening in the course of civilization’s history, but the hero has a hidden personal goal – to find his father, who has disappeared in these areas. The project stands out for its unique costumes, elaborate sets and Arkana language created specifically for the series, offering a new perspective on classic literary sources.
