Liquid Swords Studios has announced the release date of Samson on Xbox Series XS and Playstation 5. The project will launch on the new platform on September 21st. Let us remind you that the PC version was released on April 8th.
“Samson” is an action noir filled with driving, fighting, and shootouts. As protagonist Samson McCrae struggles to cope with mounting debt, his situation becomes increasingly difficult. The developer himself said that the game combines elements of “Driver” and “Mad Max”, but with a simpler structure, “adhering to the spirit of the action games of the Playstation 3 era.” You can watch the trailer with the console release date below.
Previously, Samson developer clarified how the game will run on Xbox Series X | S. Players will be able to select Quality Mode (1080p to 1660p real-world resolution) and Performance Mode (1080p real-world resolution) on the older console. On Xbox Series S, there’s only one mode – resolutions from 720p to 1200p. Frame rate on console is not reported.
Samson is the first game from Liquid Swords. The studio itself was founded by Christopher Sundberg, one of the main developers of the Justified series. The team also includes experts who previously worked on Just Cause and Mad Max.
Note that Samson did not initially have Russian localization, but was added after release.
