Ahead of BlizzCon 2026, which kicks off in a week, the official website The StarCraft series suddenly caught the attention of fans due to strange glitches. What at first glance looks like a technical issue on the page StarCraft Remastered Editionturned out to be a massive ARG campaign with encrypted logs and encoded transmissions.
Enthusiasts have discovered encrypted ASCII messages dating from 2557 to 2575 (which pushes the universe’s timeline forward more than 60 years to events) Legacy of the Void). The messages reference the Okara lunar mining complex on the planet Rohala, which is familiar to fans of the comics StarCraft: Ghost. The transport ship Theta Squadron’s logs paint a horrific picture: sensors recorded zero living inhabitants and 14 unidentified moving signatures, sparking theories about the development of a cooperative tactical action or horror shooter.
The situation has been fueled by rumors of a possible announcement of a major project led by Dan Hay, as well as recent reports in Korea about negotiations between Nexon Publishing and Blizzard. There’s no official announcement yet, but with the opening ceremony of BlizzCon 2026 set to take place on September 12, all the secrets should come out soon.
