Players have discovered a hidden reference to the next DLC in the first add-on content for STALKER 2: Heart of Chernobyl. In the Iron Forest area, you can intercept radio traffic from IUCN soldiers reporting the presence of two unidentified individuals wearing winter camouflage. This appears to be a direct reference to Frozen, a snow supplement whose details have previously been leaked from early versions of the game.
It is revealed that the incident will unfold on an island in the waters of the cooling pool of the Chernobyl nuclear power plant, which turned into an ice area after the mysterious “Second Caribbean Experiment”. The main object will be the previously unknown laboratory X-6, and it is necessary to explore not only it, but also the science ship stuck nearby.
The DLC is expected to expand the lore of the area and tell more about the secret experiments related to Laboratory X. Additions may also introduce new anomalies and snow-covered areas that are significantly different from the usual landscape of the Chernobyl region.
