Playground Games confirms that PS5 players no longer have to wait too long for racing. The publication is planned for 2026.
Forza Horizon 6, an open-world racing game set in Japan, has been available on PC and Xbox Series X/S since May 2026 and has become a sensation locally. The Xbox brand has also made the leap to the PlayStation 5 – again thanks to Microsoft’s multi-platform strategy. But when will it appear on Sony consoles?
Luckily, that question now has an answer: it won’t take long! The makers of Playground Games have now confirmed this in a new blog post. While no specific release date has been set yet, a release deadline has been clearly stated.
“Forza Horizon 6” is scheduled to be released on PlayStation 5 in 2026. Fears among Sony fans that they might have to wait until a year after the Xbox launches in 2027 have been dashed. The specific release date may be announced at the 2026 Tokyo Game Show in September.
Other than that, this blog post is actually about the arrival of the new Drift Attack feature in the game as well as the UK Cars update. For example, the latter unlocks the 1990 Jaguar XJ-S Forza Edition, 2025 Bentley Continental GT Speed, 2019 Ginetta G40 Junior and 2006 Vauxhall Astra VXR.
