Russian studio GetDevelopment has announced the launch of sci-fi first-person shooter Quantum Control, offering a story-driven single-player campaign and PvPvE modes. A free trial version is scheduled to be released on PC via VK Play and Steam in 2026, with the full version scheduled for release in 2029.
According to Kommersant, the studio received funding from IRI to develop the demo. Officials did not disclose the exact amount, but the publication’s sources from major gaming companies estimate it at 200 million rubles. Kommersant’s interlocutors also believe that the production of a complete version may require 1.5 to 2 billion rubles, but this estimate is not the official budget of the game.
Quantum control happens in the near future. After the first anomaly appeared, fragments of another post-apocalyptic world began to gradually replace the Russian settlements. Players will play the role of a special forces soldier who is sent to an unusual area.
The combat system will combine gun shooting, tactical use of special equipment, and interaction with unstable environments. The hero’s quantum abilities will allow you to change the state of objects, stop opponents and unusual threats, and quickly change positions during combat. The course of the battle will be affected by dynamic quantum weather, which changes based on enemy activity and the proximity of objects from another world.
The first phase will be a single story prologue. In the demo, the developers will show off the basic combat system, atmosphere, opponents, and interaction with an unstable reality. In the future, the plan should develop into a service game with regular seasons, cooperative missions, and asymmetric battles between players and the environment.
