The colonists on Mars now have other things to do besides fight for survival. The first DLC for Surviving Mars: Relaunched, Feeding the Future is now available, significantly expanding the colony’s agriculture, food production, and food systems.
Expansions add new crops, animals, and ways to grow food. There will be its own agricultural opportunities both above and below ground, and new buildings such as small farms and insect farms will allow for more diverse production chains. The resulting ingredients can be transformed into eight new dishes, affecting the colonists’ comfort, morale, health, and sanity. The menu includes sugar, spices, bread and cheese.
Changes also affected the colony’s infrastructure. Settlers will be able to purchase fresh baked goods from the bakery, eat at a fast food restaurant, or go to a restaurant for a more elaborate dinner. Coffee played a special role: vending machines and cafés with baristas would help maintain the conditions of the colonists, and coffee had become the only new delicacy that directly affected sanity. Additional nutritional profiles will make it necessary to take into account the individual tastes of residents and maintain a diverse menu.
Released with the DLC are free service and science updates. It completely redesigns the research system, adding new technology and content, as well as changing the operation of the service and the characteristics of the colonists. A key innovation is the Research Council, which allows you to independently determine the direction of scientific development and change priorities based on the needs of a specific colony.
