The new adaptation of Carrie will premiere on Prime Video in a month, on October 7, and Amazon has released a full trailer for the show, which tells the story of daily life at school and the bullying of a girl with telekinesis.
You can’t think of anything new here (after all, this isn’t the first adaptation of this story), so Mike Flanagan (Midnight Mass, Life of Chuck) – who apparently intends to make a movie or a TV series based on every Stephen King work, since the King of Horror favors him – decided to join a famous story from the master’s pen and in a powerful role about those who find themselves in it.
The main character is played by Summer H. Howell (“The Curse of Chucky”), and viewers will also see Samantha Sloyan (“Midnight Mass,” “Pete”), Amber Minnred (“Legion,” “Prey”), Matthew Lillard (“Scooby-Doo,” “The Bridge”) and Katee Sackhoff (“Battlestar, Galactica”). All eight episodes will be released on the same day.
