The developers of Intravenous 3 have finally revealed the fruits of their recent work and prepared a complete gift for fans of the series. The standalone prologue to Borderlands will be released for free, and you can try one of the missions now.
The story will center on Gideon, a dangerous mercenary who narrowly survives a confrontation with Steve. He was once hired to protect a corrupt politician, but now the hero has lost everything. Clues lead him to those responsible for what happened, but the only motivation remains revenge. Borderline will feature two complete missions that introduce players to Gideon’s story and new directions for Intravenous 3’s gameplay.
“Intravenous 3: Borderline” will be released for free on October 2. There’s no need to wait for release to evaluate the project, though: the developers have already launched a public playtest, where you can complete one of the missions. The team hopes to get player feedback on mechanics and systems before Prologue’s full launch to understand what’s working well and what still needs improvement.
