Windows Insiders have discovered a very promising feature that may eventually appear in stable versions of the Windows 11 operating system. We are talking about the cloud recovery tool, which appears in the Windows recovery environment and allows you to reinstall the operating system using Microsoft’s cloud platform.

“We’ve introduced Cloud Recovery, a new recovery option that can restore a Windows 11 PC to a clean, known-good state by completely reinstalling the operating system, even if Windows won’t boot. Unlike Reset PC functionality, the new option downloads the target Windows image and device drivers from Windows Update, returning the device to a fully functional state without the need for a bootable USB, self-bootable USB system, or self-installed computer state.says Microsoft’s description.
Of course, the new feature is not always useful, since its use will result in a complete reinstallation of the operating system. If you can boot the installed Windows, you can repair the damage in a less aggressive way. However, the cloud recovery feature can be very useful when the operating system stops booting for some reason.
Currently, the above innovation is available in Windows 11 beta version number 26220.9343. It is unclear when this feature will appear in the stable version of the software platform.
