Capcom is now bringing three remakes of the horror series to Nintendo Switch 2. A digital version will be released soon.
Horror fans can look forward to availability on Nintendo Switch 2 to coincide with the upcoming horror season, as Capcom is now porting three remakes of the Resident Evil series to the current Japanese console.
According to an announcement at today’s Nintendo Direct, “Resident Evil 2” Deluxe Edition, “Resident Evil 3” and “Resident Evil 4” Gold Edition will be available on current platforms starting on October 16th. This is initially a digital release and is available to pre-order now (including early bird discounts).
Anyone who prefers a physical version of the game will have to wait until the New Year. All three remasters will also be released as box sets, but only from January 29, 2027.
With the release of the remaster, all major games in the series, including the current Resident Evil Requiem, will also be playable on Switch 2; in addition, the upcoming Resident Evil: Veronica will also be launched directly for the console.
