Naoki Hamaguchi, director of the final installment in the Final Fantasy VII Remake trilogy, shared details about the upcoming PC version of Final Fantasy VII Revelations in an interview with the Wccftech portal. Previous Remastered and Reborn releases on PC often suffered from microfreezes and stuttering, which is why modders have traditionally had to fix optimizations. In the final chapter, however, the developers intend to break this unpleasant tradition.
Hamaguchi said that the studio has set a clear goal for itself – to ensure that the game runs many times more stable and smoother on PC than Rebirth. The team is actively trying various optimization methods and is currently only finalizing system requirements. The developers did not directly answer questions about the NVIDIA DLSS 5 neural filter implementation, urging us to wait for an official announcement later. Obviously, this wouldn’t be possible without neural ramps either.
