“Control Resonant” is one of the most anticipated games in September 2026. The new project from Remedy Studios will launch on Xbox Series X | S, Playstation 5 and PC on September 24, and it is reported that the game will receive Play Anywhere support from launch. It was also unexpectedly announced that it would be releasing on Game Pass, before that information was removed.
Information about the release of Control Resonant on Game Pass comes from the official UK Xbox social media account. A short video dedicated to the game mentions that it will be available on Microsoft subscriptions – “Also launching on Xbox Game Pass” (also launching on Game Pass). When the video came to media attention, the Xbox team removed it without explanation.

There has been no official announcement of Game Pass for Control Resonant for Xbox or Remedy. But it’s worth noting that Microsoft is actively working with Finnish studios on subscriptions. Last year, shooter FBC: Firebreak became part of Game Pass immediately upon release, and the original Control (still available in Ultimate Edition) has appeared on the service multiple times.
Note that a few days ago, Xbox also announced on social networks that Castlevania: The Curse of Belmont would be released on Game Pass, but the information was removed after public outcry. Since then, the project has not been officially confirmed for release on the subscription.
