Nvidia GeForce RTX 5090 price surges above €5,000 in Europe

Typically, a new generation of graphics cards starts getting cheaper in the second year after launch. But that’s not the case with the GeForce RTX 5000 or even the Radeon RX 9000. Nvidia and AMD have turned to AI accelerators and are buying gaming graphics cards for workstations to run AI natively. As a result, prices keep rising, for example in Europe the price of the flagship GeForce RTX 5090 already exceeds 5,000 euros. Now that Nvidia is aggressively promoting its RTX Spark platform, prices for GeForce graphics cards are rising. There are reports that they will continue to grow and there will be fewer graphics cards. The Nvidia GeForce RTX 5090 model surpassed the $5,000 price tag in the US just over a week ago, but the manufacturer has not made any comment on the matter. Now, the graphics card is only sold at MSRP as part of promotions at Nvidia events such as GTC.
