There are growing rumors that a StarCraft shooter will be released this week. This is expected to happen on September 13th, the first day of BlizzCon. Blizzard or Xbox have yet to confirm plans for the announcement, but a few trailers have appeared on the game’s official website.
Earlier, journalist and insider Jason Schreier pointed out that the StarCraft shooter is likely to be a multiplayer game. Now another reporter, Jez Corden assertionThe game definitely has a single-player story campaign. In the podcast, he said the following:
I have good evidence that this is a single player story style game.
Corden also stated that he saw how the game was played, but that was a long time ago, so significant changes may have been made to the game. According to him, the demos he’s seen previously featured cutscenes, voice acting, high-quality realistic (while stylized Blizzard) graphics, and a third-person combat system. Reporters compared the gameplay to Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2.
At the same time, Jez Corden has not ruled out that the StarCraft shooter will have some form of multiplayer, but he doesn’t know what form it will be at the moment. This can be a competitive option, a cooperative option, or “Helldivers or Horde mode style PvE”.
