According to the latest report from the analytical agency Alinea Analytics, the total circulation of the “Death Stranding 2” adventure game on PlayStation 5 and PC platforms has reached 2.5 million, bringing in approximately $170 million in revenue to the creator. Most sales came from Sony consoles (1.8 million copies), while the game found 700,000 buyers on PCs.
Analysts pointed out that after a strong start (1 million PS5 sales and 550,000 Steam sales in the first two months), sales momentum has slowed significantly. By comparison, the first issue has sold 5 million copies in its nearly six years on the market, bringing in approximately $243 million, while total revenue for the entire series is currently estimated at $413 million.
