As expected, American publisher and developer Blizzard Entertainment announced a new game in the fan-favorite sci-fi strategy StarCraft universe at BlizzCon 2026.

The ambitious project was showcased on stage at BlizzCon 2026 by Dan Hay, former executive producer of Far Cry and now vice president and general manager of development at Blizzard Entertainment.
“This is something new. A shooter in an open world where every step has to be won, not in the sky but on the ground, in the dirt, in the fire, paying homage to the past but with the opportunity to transcend it.”,” interested Hay.
The announcement was accompanied by a three-minute movie trailer It’s called “Dominion” and heralds the return of “StarCraft” in 2030. Judging from the film, the game is simply called “StarCraft.”
