In version Genshin Impact 7.1 “Requiem for the Underworld” The Travelers will eventually have to approach the Queen, deal with the aftermath of the events of the previous chapter, and face one of the Four Shadows of the Order of Heaven. Story version 7.1
After the events of version 7.0, the situation in Snezhnaya was far from calm; in the theater, the travelers uncovered the conspiracy of Ronova, the Mistress of Death, and learned from the clown about the mistletoe plan and Snezhnaya’s plan to resist destiny. However, the main threat has not gone away. Ronova continued to act, and her power over death became a serious obstacle to Snezhnaya’s further development. Meanwhile, the Mistletoe project hit a dead end, so the nation was forced to continue research, despite the risk of repeating Kaenri’ah’s fate.
In this context, the Queen herself will also appear in the plot; at the end of the quest in Archon 7.0, she returned from her expedition, and now the travelers will finally get to meet her in person.
Admittedly, reaching the audience is not that easy: first she has to face two of her closest assistants, High Maid Danica and Commander Druzhina Vesna. Meanwhile, the Queen’s two aides apparently had completely different attitudes toward strangers.
Version 7.1 will also finally explain why the Queen collects the Hearts of the Gods. As stated by the developers, the Heart of the Gods is the remains of the Third Descendant, the Queen intending to use the power located outside of Teyvat to gain enough power to resist the Destiny.
However, there is another purpose for collecting the hearts of the gods: the Polar Palace contains the final seal left by the third generation descendant. Only the Queen and a few of her most trusted followers know this, and it is the Hearts of the Gods that can interact with the seal. Therefore, if you want to open the sealed legacy, you must collect all seven hearts.
However, while this cannot be done, the Heart of Vulcan remains inaccessible. In addition, Snezhnaya has a more pressing problem – Ronova. The confrontation with the Mistress of Death will be one of the main events of this version. Not only does Ronova continue to interfere with Snezhnaya: now her actions directly affect travelers. The last time they met, she tried to bring Paimon back.
The trailer shows Ronova becoming more dangerous. But the Traveler will not be alone in this battle: the inhabitants of Sneznaya, the Pioneers of Fatui, and other allies will join the fight. These include Dainsleife, who helped the Nordland travelers during the events of Lunar Avengers.
But Ronova is not the only one of the Four Shadows concerned about what is happening in Snezhnaya. Reindottir, the goddess of life, arrives in the frozen region of the country. She met the Queen in person, and their conversation took place in a tense atmosphere. Thus, two monarchs, living and dead, appeared in Snezhnaya at the same time, but it is not clear what the consequences of their intervention would be.
In addition, as the story progresses, travelers will meet a mysterious stranger from Kaenri’ah who knows many stories about the country’s past, so version 7.1 will let us know more about this part of Teyvat’s plot.

Starting from version 7.1, it will be possible to accept special tasks from the Queen’s trusted secretary. By completing these missions, travelers will help solve various problems across the country while gaining a better understanding of Snezhnaya and how the Queen rules the country.
In one of the stories, the Queen asks you to get the opinions of the residents and their companions, and then create an ideal portrait of her. The reason is simple: Snezhnaya is so big that even its rulers don’t know everything that’s going on in the country, so she needs someone who can observe what’s going on from the outside and tell the residents how to view their country.
In version 7.1 you can also meet old friends and see how they interact with Snezhnaya’s characters.
Spring Legend Quest
In version 7.1, travelers will also become acquainted with one of the interesting stories related to the origin of spring. She stumbles upon a secret treatise describing the training of a being known as the Immortal Swordsman. Vesna decided to follow the advice written there and imbue her sword with spiritual power.
The result is a bit unexpected: the sword is resurrected and dispersed in the form of a sword spirit. In this case, no major disaster occurred. Some elves began to prepare potions, some began to temper their bodies, and some elves went to collect gems. Spring requires travelers to find them and put them back where they belong.
Completing the story will reward you with a unique “Creation of Eternal Ice” skin, which will allow players to customize the appearance of chain mechanics in the open world. Vesna herself will also get a special appearance thanks to a companion sword flying next to her.
Vodianica legendary mission
The “Countercurrent Variation” mission will appear in version 7.1, allowing you to get to know Vodianica from another side and understand her experience in more detail.

Another entertainment event will also appear in Snezhnaya – snowball fights. Travelers will be able to team up with local children and the genius Beetroot to fight against the wacky owls. During the event, players will encounter different owls and defeat them to gain points and receive rewards.
