Following the announcement of the StarCraft shooter, the Blizzard team answered some questions about what’s in store for the game. There aren’t many details yet, but the developers have refuted some assumptions and revealed key points. The main thing is that it’s official Confirmed Based on the shooting game “StarCraft”:
- This is a third-person game where you see your character and his armor.
- Marine armor is very important for heroes. Players will be able to improve it, maintain it and gradually turn it into a unique part of their character.
- Players will enjoy a sci-fi shooter with an open world and a mature story campaign.
- The event takes place approximately 70 years after the events of “StarCraft II: Legacy of the Void”. The main location will be the Koprulu area.
- The protagonist will be a human marine. The story will be constructed according to the classic plan of “from novice to hero”, with a complete beginning, development and completion.
- Development is being led by general manager and creative director Dan Hay, who previously worked on the Far Cry series.
- The developer likened the project’s atmosphere to “deadwood in space.” Players will find a small core group of characters, limited resources, and ever-changing alliances.
- The game was not created as a service with seasons and regular releases of new content.
- The main opponent at this stage is the Zerg. The Protoss appeared in the first trailer, but so far only as architectural elements. Their existence as rivals has not yet been confirmed.
- The game will likely feature characters familiar to StarCraft fans, but the main focus will be the new Marine heroes.
Let us remind you that the StarCraft shooter is currently in the early stages of development. It has no platform list and a release window is listed as 2030.
