Kakao Games has updated the pre-registration page for Supercat’s upcoming 2.5D MMORPG World of Dokkaebi, revealing key world and gameplay details ahead of its October 8 release.
The project is a modern reimagining of traditional Korean folklore and mythology based on an online novel. Miao Guixu Dao Zhuancombining Eastern fantasy with unique aesthetics.
The game’s visuals are based on a hybrid engine that combines detailed 3D backgrounds with dynamic lighting and classic 2D pixel art characters, including the tokkebi (goblins) themselves and the monsters. Players will play the role of “Dos” (Taoist master) who protects the balance of nature and fights against evil. In addition to the combat system, the game also pays special attention to social activities such as peaceful occupations and fishing.
