
The Witcher 3 Remastered was announced at Gamescom, and the updated version of the game should be released on Xbox Series X | S, PlayStation 5 and PC on September 29th. Owners of the original project will be able to upgrade to the remastered version for free, and CD Projekt RED stresses that this isn’t just about graphical improvements.
Previously, a detailed (but incomplete) list of the differences players can expect in The Witcher 3 Remastered compared to the original has emerged. According to him, the studio has released simple graphics updates for current generation consoles, while The Witcher 3 Remake is an update on a completely different level.
The updates to the next generation of consoles released a few years ago were pretty big. At the same time, the emergence of new game consoles also determines this. There are special needs for this. We wanted to adapt the game to the device and put a lot of emphasis on the technical aspects.
The remake is a much bigger project and quite complex, probably even more complex from a technical perspective. But more importantly, we’re talking about aspects of the game that haven’t changed since launch. I’m talking about animation. I’m talking about gameplay. I’m talking about playability, which is how you actually play.

Previously, CD Projekt RED also pointed out that the ideas and mechanics of the “A Ballad of the Past” DLC cannot be implemented in the original “The Witcher 3”.
