Marvel’s Wolverine, Insomniac Games’ new superhero action game, faces a huge disparity between professional media ratings and player opinions. Despite a lukewarm response from critics, with a Metascore of 77 out of 117 reviews, PlayStation Store users welcomed the game’s release with enthusiasm. As of this writing, the game has an average score of 4.84 out of 5 based on 6,400 reviews, which would give it a recalculated score of approximately 97 out of 100.
The plot centers on Logan, who once again teams up with Team X to save mutantkind from the threat of total destruction. Players travel across Canada, Japan, and Madripoor, immersing themselves in brutal combat with the ability to tear their enemies to pieces.
It is worth noting that the rating in the store may change, as the fact of purchasing without completing the entire campaign is enough for it to be released.
