
Hideo Kojima spoke on Xbox Broadcast as part of Tokyo Game Show 2026. In a 4-minute video, he talked about the new phase of cooperation with Microsoft. Last week, the Japanese game designer announced that Xbox would replace Playstation as a partner in the creation of PHYSINT. Now he’s shared some new details about two games he’s developing with Microsoft.
of. Kojima said development of the project is proceeding as planned. He noted that the project’s creators resumed motion capture and other work after a brief hiatus due to an actor’s strike. He also said again that the OD game will “explore the boundaries of fear” and that the final mechanism has not yet been formulated and is in the experimental stage. PHYSINT. Kojima Hideo said that the game is currently in the casting and actor selection stage. He calls the project “a new take on the Spino action genre,” which was created based on more than 40 years of experience as a game designer. Hideo also announced that Bill Skarsgård (Pennywise in the horror film “It”) has been cast in the lead role. Other actors in the game include Charlie Fraser, Don Lee, and Minami Hamabe.

OD and PHYSINT did not receive the expected release window. But Kojima thanked Xbox for its support during the development process.
