Snap has detailed its Specs augmented reality glasses, which will cost $2,195. The device operates in a fully autonomous mode based on the Specs Intelligence artificial intelligence platform.

Snap Specs, which debuted in June, is a standalone wearable computer that can run apps and work with any other software without needing to be connected to an external device like Meta.✴ Ray-Ban monitor. Unlike the latter, the Snap Specs have not one, but two displays built into their two glasses. The manufacturer is positioning the smart glasses as devices suitable for a variety of use cases: from playing augmented reality games with other Specs owners to serving as a virtual big-screen TV or an augmented reality-enabled navigation system.
The device runs on the Specs Intelligence software platform, an artificial intelligence service designed to display relevant information in the user’s field of view. The demonstration video shows a woman at the airport asking the device about the status of her flight, only to be told she has to go to another gate to board her flight but still has plenty of time to get there. Apps to be released for Apple Mac and iPhone will offer integration with Messages, Gmail, Slack and other services. Another demo shows a Mac user using Specs Intelligence to purchase movie tickets: the AI navigates to the site, selects tickets, and asks for confirmation to complete the transaction.
Snap Specs is not just for individuals but also for business users. Integration with Salesforce helps you use the glasses directly in the field – the device recognizes objects and provides necessary information. The company is also working with Nvidia to deploy on-device artificial intelligence agents to help workers better navigate their surroundings.
