Nihon Falcom has signed a licensing agreement with NEOWIZ, known for the MMORPG Bless Online and Souls action game Lies Of P. The Korean company will develop and globally distribute an updated version of the classic jRPG The Legend of Heroes III: The White Witch for PC and consoles. The team wanted to preserve the atmosphere of the original RPG and introduce it to a new generation of gamers.
“The Legend of Heroes III: The White Witch” was released on PC-9801 in 1994, becoming the third game in the “Legend of Heroes” series. The game has been nicknamed the “Singing RPG” for its emphasis on storytelling, poetic dialogue, rich world design, and a soundtrack that enhances the story’s dramatic moments.
The plot tells the story of the pilgrimage of young Giulio and young girl Cristina around the world of Tirasul. Along the way, the characters meet different people, and the relationships between the characters also change as the story progresses. “The White Witch” marks the beginning of Gagafu’s trilogy, which also includes “The Legend of Heroes IV: Crimson Tears” and “The Legend of Heroes V: Song of the Sea Cage”. This trilogy later became one of the origins of the Locus series.

We hope to deliver a carefully crafted game that captures the emotional feel of the original while inviting new and old players to immerse themselves in an updated adaptation. Through this agreement, we look forward to building a strong partnership with Nihon Falcom,” said a NEOWIZ representative.
The release date, specific platform list and development details of the new version of “The Legend of Heroes III: The Legend of the White Witch” have not yet been revealed.
