“Dune: Awakening” has released a major update, marking an important stage in the development of the project. The main innovation is a full-fledged single-player mode for solo play: the developers at Funcom redesigned the trading mechanics into convenient vendors, added a simulation of guild activities in the endgame, and introduced a flexible world setting for both solo players and dedicated servers.
The patch also completes the game’s first story chapter, adding retro mission rewards, mission instances, a redesigned Landsraad mission system, and dividing Deep Desert into PvE and PvP modes. Survivor is also launching early today on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S for Enhanced Edition owners, although cross-platform play will be available later this year.
