Yesterday, September 17, 2026, Ubisoft announced a major anniversary update for the spin-off Prince of Persia. In the process, they not only celebrated the one-year anniversary of the original’s release last year, but also released a ton of new content for players.
The patch brings new arena, parkour and speedrunning modes to the game as well as new challenges and companions. Your agility is especially put to the test in Speed Run mode, while Time Attack mode has built-in countdowns and time counters that require you to move quickly. Parkour mode is designed to place special emphasis and attention on the wall-running elements of the game.
In new combat areas, you will encounter stronger opponents and test your combat skills. There are new mechanics here too, as you can now also freeze and slow down your opponents. A new weapon has also appeared in the game.
Last but not least, there is a new daily challenge system called Daily Awakening. Daily running loops with specific modifiers and requirements are waiting for you here. This system is designed to significantly increase playability value and test your adaptability.
