SEGA quietly raids Denuvo on Total War: Three Kingdoms and Pharaoh's Tactics

Sega has moved away from the infamous Denuvo security system in several of its projects. One of the games is the global strategy Total War: Three Kingdoms, in which players will travel to China in 190 AD to unify a divided country. It’s worth noting that the game’s Steam page still retains the same notice about third-party DRM protection.

Additionally, Denuvo has been removed from Total War: Pharaohs Strategy, which was dedicated to ancient Egypt. At launch, the project was heavily criticized for being minor, which is why the studio Creative Assembly had to urgently revamp its plans: lowering the price of the base version, issuing refunds, and turning paid-for patches into free updates.
