Microsoft regularly releases new updates to console firmware insiders for Xbox Series X S and Xbox One. In the first half of September, they received a major update with 7 new features at once, and insiders at all levels are now continuing to actively test the Disc to Digital technology. The Xbox team is responding to user-reported bugs and will update the level on September 19th alpha and Alpha fast forward A mandatory update has been released with some fixes.
The new Insider firmware for Xbox consoles should fix the following issues:
- Disc to digital. All players should now properly receive notifications about booting digital licenses from disc.
- Start animation. In the September internal firmware, one of 4 animation options can be set when starting the console. This update fixes an audio quality issue with the standard startup animation (We Are XBOX).
Also in the new firmware version, Alpha and Alpha Skip-Ahead level Insiders now have access to information about Mythic achievements.
The disc-to-digital feature is expected to roll out to all players in the coming weeks, along with new features in the firmware that Insiders are currently testing.
