The Fallout universe is preparing for a busy 2027. Bethesda will continue to actively develop Fallout 76a massive new expansion called Raven Rock is planned. The DLC will be a prequel to the events of Fallout 3, allowing you to learn more about one of the most famous locations in the third installment of the series.
Bethesda has yet to reveal full details on future expansions. Just know that Crow Rock will be related to previous events Fallout 3. The add-on’s name itself is a direct reference to the military base of the same name, which played an important role in Fallout 3’s plot. Therefore, the new DLC could tell more about the history of the facility and the events that took place there before the start of the main game.

Scenes like this are particularly symbolic: first, players will be able to explore Raven Rock’s backstory in Fallout 76, and then return directly to the events of Fallout 3 in an updated version of the original game. However, there has been no official announcement about this project yet.
Meanwhile, the Fallout 3 remake isn’t the only project related to the classic game in the series. Bethesda also confirmed work on the updated version Fallout: New Vegasbut even so, the release date has not yet been announced.

In the long run, the series will get a full continuation. Bethesda previously announced that after The Elder Scrolls 6, the studio’s next major game will be Fallout 5. Its release seems a long way away, so Fallout 76 and new projects dedicated to past parts of the series remain the main ways to expand the universe in the coming years.
So 2027 is already a big year for Fallout: fans can at least look forward to the new Raven Rock expansion for Fallout 76 and the series’ anniversary. But it is still unknown whether the “Fallout 3” remake will appear at the same time.
