There’s not much time left for the release of Silent Hill: Fallen, but some people think there’s no need to wait until September 24th. Nearly three hours of gameplay from the new installment of the horror game has surfaced online, and the leak gives you an almost complete look at what Screen Burn Interactive has in store. Konami also previously officially showed about 40 minutes of gameplay.
“Downtown” takes the episode from a familiar American small town to Scotland in 1996. Protagonist Simon Ordell returns to the mysterious coastal town of Saint-Amilia, where thick fog, strange creatures and many questions about his own past await him.
The game has switched to a full first-person perspective, and the combat here clearly isn’t trying to turn Simon into a Terminator. The main emphasis is on stealth – you can get around enemies and distract them with bottles and various devices, and special CRTV can help detect monsters through walls and fog. Weapons are also available, but ammunition and other means of defense are sparse.
At the same time, the developers prepared a full-fledged alternative world with a completely different visual style and new nightmares. According to preliminary data, the clearance time is about 10-14 hours, and the game has five endings at the same time.
