Beats, owned by Apple, today released Beats 360, a new flagship over-ear headphone that provides users with the most personalized listening experience. For the first time in the brand’s history, the headphones feature interchangeable ear pads and headband pads: users can change the color and material type to suit their style, occupation or mood.

According to the manufacturer, Beats 360 headphones are designed for any situation, delivering unparalleled comfort and the best sound quality in the brand’s entire history. Beats 360 combines advanced active noise cancellation technology that is 1.75 times more effective than Beats Studio Pro to deliver powerful, deep sound to immerse you in your music.
Sound transparency mode lets you hear surrounding sounds at all times. The adaptive equalizer dynamically adjusts the frequency characteristics based on the tightness of the headphones. Personalized spatial audio technology uses the accelerometer and gyroscope built into the left earcup to dynamically track the user’s head position.
Beats says the new balanced fit design and premium ear pads provide superior comfort, secure fit and durability. Performance knitted earpads are designed for movement. They’re made from soft memory foam and lined with breathable knit fabric for a lightweight, breathable feel. UltraPlush earpads are made from seamless, premium synthetic leather and are designed for all-day use.
Beats 360 features IPX4 sweat and water resistance and interchangeable cases in a variety of colors and materials to easily adapt to your lifestyle and preferences. The headphones are resistant to moisture, rain, and heat, so according to the manufacturer, they’re perfect for everyday use without compromising on sound quality. The foldable design and included durable ripstop case make it easy to take Beats 360 anywhere.
Beats 360 lets you change the ear pads and headband pads to personalize your device. Beats 360 comes standard with Performance Knit ear pads. The optional Performance Knit package is available in six colors: black, white, pink, light blue, indigo and yellow. The UltraPlush kit is also available in black and white.
Beats 360 integrates seamlessly with the Apple and Android ecosystems and supports Bluetooth 5.3 (Class 1) technology for extended wireless range. Controls are located on the back of each earcup. There’s a tactile volume button and a play/pause button for music and calls on the right cup, while the left side has a power button and a separate button for switching listening modes.
The Beats 360 design incorporates nine digital MEMS microphones: eight for active noise cancellation and three for voice capture (two microphones for both tasks). During calls, a special microphone with beamforming capabilities is used. The system can dynamically deploy additional microphones to instantly improve speech clarity.
According to the manufacturer, the Beats 360 has a battery life of up to 32 hours with the adaptive equalizer feature enabled and Active Noise Cancellation (ANC) and Transparency mode turned off, and the same battery life with ANC and Personalized Space Audio turned on. Thanks to Fast Fuel technology, 5 minutes of charging via USB Type-C can provide up to 1 hour of playback.
Beats 360 is made from 80% recycled plastic. All Beats 360 magnets are made from 100% recycled rare earth elements and meet U.S. Department of Energy battery charging requirements. Beats 360 packaging is made from 100% plant-based materials.
Beats 360 is available to order today for $350. The new products will be available in retail stores on September 24th. For a limited time, customers in select markets can purchase a replacement pad kit at a special promotional price of $9.99 instead of the regular price of $49.99.
