According to well-known insider Dusk Golem, the release of the “Resident Evil Veronica” remake may be delayed to the fall of 2027. The insider said he received the information from three different sources, though he stressed that the information needs to be treated with caution and has yet to be officially confirmed by Capcom. The potential timing change also explains the game’s absence from the recent Tokyo Game Show.
Dusk Golem noted that the company may have decided to expand the size and ambition of the project, which would require additional development time. Since Capcom has only previously announced an overall release year (2027) during a presentation at the Summer Games Festival, the fall shift isn’t technically a delay. The project is being developed on the RE engine for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, PC and Nintendo Switch 2.
