French processor developer SiPearl if Sample of your first processor Rhea 1 Bull has begun integrating the chip into its platform Bull Sequana XH3000 Europe’s first exascale supercomputer Jupiter (Co-pioneer in innovative and transformative exascale research) Supercomputer Center Forschungszentrum Juelich (FZJ) in Licht (Germany).
At this stage, we are building processor blade modules for JUPITER to complement the GPU part, thereby opening up the possibility of complete modular integration of the entire complex. Supplying equipment for JUPITER is SiPearl’s first Rhea1 server processor order. Processor includes 80 cores Arm Neoverse V1 (Zeus), four HBM2e memory stacks (64 GB), and four DDR5 memory channels (2DPC). Supports 104 PCIe 5.0 lanes in the form of six x16 and two x4 complexes.
These key features make Rhea1 ideal for the most demanding HPC workloads, while providing security, energy efficiency and flexibility without backdoors or switches, the press release states. Rhea1 is scheduled to enter the market by the end of 2026.

“The high memory bandwidth makes this processor particularly suitable for applications that require efficient access to large amounts of data.”Director of the Jülich Supercomputing Center at the Research Center Jülich and executive director of EuroHPC JU said that the delivery of the sample is “an important milestone on the road to European sovereignty in the field of supercomputing technology.”
Second European exascale system Alice Laycockto be installed at the CEA/DAM Center in the south of Paris. It will use Rhea2 processor. CEO and Founder of SiPearl reportThe company is currently in talks with defense sector businesses for the supply of another product – athena 1 – Dedicated version of Rhea1 for dual purpose applications.
