At the Made on YouTube event, the company announced new artificial intelligence tools, including channel management app YouTube Studio. They use artificial intelligence to test different methods and determine the most effective solutions, aiming to help creators analyze videos and grow their audiences. The neural network is also able to evaluate draft versions of videos and provide recommendations based on previous content and audience comments.

Feature updates for content creators include the launch of Ask Studio, an AI question-and-answer tool on iOS and Android, as well as new features to get video draft recommendations and create dynamic thumbnails.
The Draft Analysis feature uses artificial intelligence to review unpublished videos and provide recommendations on pacing, structure, and delivery. In addition, the Studio app will offer a new research feed that shows creators what content is popular on the platform, allowing them to create their own versions of similar videos.
The Studio app now lets you generate thumbnails and titles based on video content, taking into account the creator’s personal style. A dynamic thumbnail feature is also available, allowing you to build three variations of an image and display each variation to a different audience segment to determine which presentation best captures your audience’s attention.
Later this year, YouTube Studio will begin automatically monitoring the performance of thumbnails and replacing them with better options when necessary. These tools can also be applied to already published videos. If the author gives the appropriate permissions, the Ask Studio system will be able to independently perform tests to optimize older videos.
The company also announced an update to its analytics system: It will now not only provide dry numbers, but also explain the reasons for certain video metrics and provide recommendations on improving audience engagement. In the online retail space, YouTube is starting to use artificial intelligence to automatically tag products. According to the company, this will help authors earn money through affiliate programs.
The platform also provides new opportunities for creators to conduct live broadcasts. Early next year, YouTube will launch a pilot program for automatic dubbing of broadcasts, which will allow authors’ speech to be instantly translated into other languages. The company also launched a “live showdown” feature. It allows creators to live stream together and even find a couple to stream with using a system that automatically selects participants.
YouTube also shares data to better understand how people use the platform. More and more viewers are watching YouTube on their TVs at home; furthermore, for half of the 100 most popular creators on the platform, TV has become the primary device for viewing their content.
YouTube data also confirms the growing popularity of micro-drama: in the first half of 2026, this type of content was viewed more than 6.5 billion times on the platform, and the total viewing time increased by 50% compared with the same period last year. Even on the big screen, people seem to be watching these episodes in a vertical video format, with viewership of this type of micro-content on TV up 90% from last year.
