Recently, players discovered mentions of Mythic achievements in the Xbox firmware. This is expected to be the equivalent of the Playstation Platinum trophy that users of Microsoft’s gaming ecosystem have long requested. More and more information is emerging about how the system will work and when it will occur.

- Mythic achievements are awarded after completing all achievements in a specific game’s base inventory.
- Achievements from DLC and subsequent game updates are not taken into account. To obtain the Mythic achievement, it is enough to completely complete the basic achievement list.
- The Mythic achievement has a player score of 0, which means it has no impact on the player’s overall score.
- After going online, the system will operate “retroactively”, that is, all games that users have 100% cleared in the basic version will have mythical achievements available.
- Information about the total number of Myths received will be displayed on your Xbox profile. This indicator will be visible to other users.
- For Mythic achievements, they will add separate system animations, sounds, and new icons. Previously, information about the sound has emerged – you can listen to it in the video below.
- The statistics section of the game profile section will change. It will display your overall player score, the number of achievements earned, and the number of mythic achievements.
- After earning the Mythic achievement, the game design in the user profile will change – green stars, laurel wreaths and a green frame will appear on the cover.
- A separate counter will appear on each game’s progress page, showing how many more achievements need to be earned before the Myth is unlocked.
- DLC achievements will receive an additional token to help distinguish them from those that count towards 100% completion of the base game.
According to a reporter familiar with the new feature, which is expected to launch in the near future – insiders will likely have access to these mythical achievements before the end of September.
