Enshrouded developers are preparing a massive overhaul of the combat system for the release of version 1.0. Mages will gain new spells, abilities, and development options, while archers’ abilities will be expanded and ranged combat will be improved.
There will be a total of nine new spells in the game, including Mana Drain, Entangle, Blizzard, and Ball Lightning. A separate new feature will be summoned creatures: four totem variants and hollow skulls. The Necromancer has an additional skill that increases the number of skeletons and totems summoned at the same time. Additionally, spells will receive new versions at different stages of their Amberville journey, while Eternal versions can now be upgraded and equipped with special perks.
There will also be major changes to the wand. They’ll gain a critical hit that can impale multiple enemies and interrupt the attacks of weaker enemies, as well as two new abilities – an aerial wand attack and a wand dodge attack. The developers have separately redesigned the aiming system, added new aim assist settings, and fixed switching between wands and staffs in combat. Exploding barrels can now even be aimed with a wand – chaos doesn’t just happen on its own.
Archers will also gain new skills, including piercing damage, bow durability restoration, and the ability to extend their time in the Shroud. The game will feature three new Eternal Arrows, new enemy variants, and improved movement animations. The character level limit has been increased to level 50, and the equipment level has been increased to level 55. Due to changes to the skill tree, all will be reset before release, and points will need to be redistributed before leaving the base.
