Sony has announced a new product in the past few hours renew for PlayStation Portalfirst introduced the Battery condition improvedintroducing charging restrictions.
Essentially,Update 7.1.7 It should already be available to everyone, with an option added by default to limit battery charging to support its lifespan, stopping charging once it reaches 80%, similar to what happens with programs present in many smartphone system software.

Sony officially explained: “This update makes some changes to the charging method of PS Portal to maintain the health of the device’s battery in the long term.”

Sony warns that “choosing a charge limit higher than 80% may affect your device’s battery performance and overall stability, reducing its long-term health.”
Like the lithium-ion batteries of many other devices, the PlayStation Portal’s lithium-ion battery can stay healthy longer if you impose limits on charging to avoid hitting 100% each time, resulting in fewer full cycles and a longer lifespan.
