Xiaomi has launched the TV S Pro RGB-Mini LED 2027 and the revamped TV S Pro RGB-Mini LED 2027 Extreme Edition TV series, marking the debut of the brand’s first model with RGB-Mini LED backlight technology. There are subtle differences between the two product lines in terms of technical specifications and price.

In all cases, four models are available, ranging in diagonal length from 65 inches to 98 inches. Unlike traditional white backlights, the new TVs have independent red, green and blue light sources – this allows the panel to cover 100% of the BT.2020 color space and consume approximately 30% less energy than the 2026 model of the same series when displaying monochrome images. The panels are characterized by high brightness and precise operation of the local dimming system: TVs of the TV S Pro series reach 5000 cd/m² in the basic version and 5500 cd/m² in the Extreme version. The 65-inch model has 2,160 local dimming zones, while the 98-inch model has 4,860.

The TVs of the basic series are equipped with an anti-glare coated screen with a reflection coefficient of 1.8%; for the models of the improved series, this figure is 0.5%; moreover, in the latter case, there is reportedly the presence of a proprietary XM9000 chip – it controls the accuracy of color rendering and contrast, coordinating the operation of the backlight and LCD matrix. All new products have 4K resolution and 180Hz refresh rate, and the Extreme Edition version has a special mode that can increase the frequency to 360Hz. Announced support for variable refresh rate VRR, MEMC motion smoothing technology, and AMD FreeSync Premium Pro. There are four HDMI 2.1 ports, one of which comes with eARC, Wi-Fi 6, Ethernet, and a standard USB connector.

The hardware includes a 4-core Arm Cortex-A73 processor, 4 GB RAM and 64 GB drive; HyperOS 4 is used as the software platform. The Basic-line TV comes with a 2.1.2 sound system with 130 W, including upward-firing speakers and a built-in subwoofer; for the Extreme version, it’s already 4.1.2 and 170 W. In all cases, sound tuning is entrusted to Harman; older models support Dolby Atmos. The kit includes a remote control that supports Bluetooth, NFC and charging via the USB Type-C port.

Xiaomi TV S Pro RGB-Mini LED 2027 and Extreme Edition TVs feature stylish designs and thin and light bodies: the 65-inch model is 49.7 mm thick, and the 98-inch model is 54.9 mm thick.
The entry-level series is represented by models with screen sizes of 65, 75, 85 and 98 inches, priced at 5,999 yuan ($894), 6,999 yuan ($1,043), 8,799 yuan ($1,311) and 12,999 yuan ($1,937) respectively.
