amazon.com declare Plans to invest more than $100 million to build a new 54,000-square-foot robotics manufacturing facility in Greenwood, Indiana. It will produce parts for Amazon’s logistics and robotics businesses in North America.

The plant is expected to be operational in 2028, creating 300 new manufacturing and engineering jobs (computer numerical control (CNC) operators, welders, powder coaters, assemblers, manufacturing engineers, quality assurance specialists, inspection engineers and project managers) with an average annual salary of nearly $100,000.
The factory will use cloud technology and artificial intelligence-based manufacturing systems, using high-tech manufacturing, robotic welding, automated powder coating and assembly operations.

Amazon said it has built more than 1 million robots in the United States to date, and the robots are used in more than 300 facilities to help process 75% of customer orders worldwide.
