The patch being released may force PC players to completely redownload Control Resonant.
Remedy has released Control Resonant and, as is common practice today, has also released patches or hotfixes directly with the version. However, this presents an obvious problem on PC: if you’ve previously downloaded the entire game, you may need to completely redownload the entire game because of the update.
This patch improves the gameplay experience, but it requires the intervention of some platform-specific mechanics on PC. Therefore, players who have already fully downloaded the game to start playing will have to download it fully again. The development team apologizes for any inconvenience caused.
“This was an oversight on our part. We have no excuses; we just want to sincerely apologize to everyone affected. We will learn from this experience and work hard to avoid similar issues in the future,” the team said.
The patch brings the game to version 1.3.3 on PC, 01.300.300 on PS5, and 1.3.3.0 on Xbox. In addition to this, the creators also addressed the issue of opponents’ health points, which were sometimes too high. In this regard, the game becomes a little simpler. There’s also now an Assist mode, which lets you adjust difficulty and gain more control over every aspect of the game via various sliders.
You can find the full English patch log after the video below.
Enemy health and Dylan’s combat power
We firmly believe these changes will improve the feel and flow of gameplay while still providing a challenge.
Depending on the player’s progress, enemies may feel too clunky early in the game. To address this issue, we are making the following changes:
- Lowers the base health and required stun level of most enemies, as well as the Dancer and Deserter bosses
- Increase maximum abnormal strength and maximum ability strength
- These increases in strength follow a curve, gradually increasing towards the end. The more upgrades you have, the more damage you do.
Auxiliary mode
If you want to further tweak the game to your liking and customize various parts of the experience, such as enemy aggression, incoming damage, or how quickly Dylan recovers his powers, Assist Mode in the Game Menu of Game Options is for you. You can use the slider to adjust the difficulty to your liking and gain more control over every aspect of the experience, even making the game more difficult if you want!
reassign
To encourage building and experimentation, we will permanently reduce the cost of respecifying and adding to the inventory of these “reset items” for all vendors in the game.
- Additionally, the first Resonance boss fight (Artist) will now drop two “reset items” instead of one.
User interface text updated
We’ll also be updating some English UI text to better explain established powers and abnormal powers. These text changes are currently only available in English and will be localized as soon as possible.
- Abnormal Strength: “Multiplier X%” will now be: “Damage and Shake X%”.
- Constructed Power: “Calculated based on the equipment’s weapon form, talents, and core upgrades.” Will now be: “From unlocked combat abilities, anomalous forms/upgrades, talents, and core upgrades.”
We’ll pay close attention to your feedback and make further adjustments as needed. Enjoy the game, take your time, explore, and let us know what you think.
