The Doomlord expansion pack for Total War: Warhammer III is now available, including Update 9.0 and free content. The patch significantly changes campaign behavior, Slaanesh builds, and character recovery after injury.
Developers mainly focus on artificial intelligence. It will now remember failed recruitment attempts and will no longer endlessly return to the same location, meaning armies should no longer sit idle and crowded. At higher difficulty levels, the AI is also more likely to favor quality elite warriors rather than filling out armies with whatever units are available. Chaos Warriors and Archaon have each been improved – the latter should expand more aggressively and come into conflict with story-appropriate enemies earlier.
Slaanesh gained a new structure for military buildings: elite units can now be unlocked later, and some building chains have been redesigned or removed. Nefera Tower adds new unique buildings, including the ability to recruit Lamian maids and vampires early on, and several zombie dragon-centric attractions. Finally, it is now harder for characters to recover quickly from defeat: repeated injuries within ten turns inflict aggravating effects that increase the cooldown.
