CD Projekt RED has confirmed the release date for The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt Remastered on all platforms. The project will be launched on September 29, and a detailed map of release times in different regions has appeared on the studio’s social network.
The Xbox Series X version of “The Witcher 3: Remastered” is officially released | S, PlayStation 5, Switch 2 and PC at 13:00 Moscow time on September 29. In the remaster, players can expect improved graphics (although this is controversial), a smoother combat system, new finishing animations, changes to the skill tree, improved horse control, and more.
In addition, the developers of CD Projekt RED also clarified the scale of the game update:
- Xbox Series X | S, Playstation 5 and PC – approximately 45 GB.
- Switch 2 — Approximately 50 GB.
Not only will the remaster itself be free for players, but two of The Witcher 3’s additional content will also be available for free. If a user on Xbox or other platforms only has the basic version of the project, he will receive the large DLC “Hearts of Stone” and “Blood and Wine” in the remastered version for free. In the Xbox ecosystem, players will also get the PC version of “The Witcher” for free through Play Anywhere.
CD Projekt RED has previously stated that they hope to create a game that meets modern standards through the remastered version of “The Witcher 3”. In addition, the project has made some changes that allow it to implement new ideas and mechanics from the Song of the Past add-on.
