Tactical shooter Wardogs has sparked a wave of buzz in the community after announcing the release date for its second season, scheduled for October 15, 2026. The main reason for the controversy is the inevitable wipe – a complete reset of in-game progress, levels, currency and unlocked gear – that will occur at the start of each new season chapter.
While BULKHEAD Studios publicly proclaimed the project’s niche nature and uncompromising focus ahead of launch, the massive army of new players weren’t ready for the hard grind and loss of earned property.
Some viewers called the decision a disaster for casual users, while others saw the wipes as a necessary tool to balance and protect newcomers from the ever-dominant veterans.
