As Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2 prepares to celebrate its second anniversary, the developer has also laid out plans for the game’s third year of development. Patch 15 will be released on October 1, and in early 2027, a new class will be added to the Space Marines – the Apothecary.
The remainder of 2026 will bring two updates to players. Patch 15 will add Chaos Siege mode, in which you take control of the Heretic Astartes and fight for control of Avarax, as well as Crucible mode, which offers personalized complexity and progression for each class. In addition, there will be a one-handed thunder hammer, new hero weapons and armor elements. Later, the developers are planning to launch a new PvP mode with weekly strategies.
By 2027, the list will get even longer: new actions and weapons, redesigns of multiple game systems, and the Apothecary, which will be released with patch 17 in the first quarter. Separate champion skins for him and Techmarine will be released at a later date. The developers also hinted at two yet-to-be-disclosed customization features: First, the number of customization options will increase by 33%, and second, it will put serious pressure on the streaming system. The cherry on top will be the five cosmetics and the Champions Pack, the contents of which are currently hidden.
