Gamers demand Capcom restore backwards compatibility on Xbox – named most anticipated project

Players demand Capcom restore backwards compatibility on Xbox - and they list the most anticipated projects: From the website NEWXBOXONE.RU

Publisher Capcom has released a number of critical and critically acclaimed titles this year. He also has a large number of projects that are still “locked” on Xbox and Xbox 360 consoles and are now unavailable on Xbox One and Xbox Series X | S for backwards compatibility. The author of the XboxGamePreservation portal, where players vote for new backwards compatibility projects, has sent an open letter to Capcom (he has previously sent open letters to Warner Bros., Sega, Hasbro, and Disney).

in his open letter The author points out that Xbox users have left over 13,000 votes for the return of classic Capcom games through backward compatibility. A total of 5,671 players voted for 70 Capcom games for the original Xbox and Xbox 360, and the votes were distributed as follows:

  • Capcom’s own series of 51 games received 8,919 votes from 3,028 players.
  • Sixteen games with licensed characters and universes received 3,597 votes.
  • Three projects produced by Capcom for other studios received 853 votes.

Capcom’s 10 most anticipated games in the backward compatibility program are as follows:

  1. Remember me – 732 votes
  2. Dino Crisis 3 — 548
  3. Bionic Commando — 389
  4. Resident Evil 5 — 359
  5. Car model list — 356
  6. Resident Evil 4 — 337
  7. Dead Rising — 324
  8. Dead Rising 2 — 292
  9. Resident Evil — 281
  10. Darkwalker Resurrection—272

Among the series of works owned by Capcom, the “Resident Evil” series is the most interesting to players. The 7 projects received a total of 1,793 votes from 597 players. The top looks like this:

  1. Resident Evil 5 – 359.
  2. Resident Evil 4 – 337.
  3. Resident Evil – 281.
  4. Resident Evil 6 – 259.
  5. Resident Evil Zero – 225.
  6. Resident Evil: Revelations – 174.
  7. Resident Evil: Revelations 2 – 158.

Next in the list of popular series is:

  • Street Fighter – 6 games, 932 votes.
  • Dead Rising – 3 games, 800 votes.
  • Remember Me – 1 game, 732 votes.
  • “Devil May Cry 3” – 679 votes.
  • Bionic Commando – 638 votes.
  • Dino Crisis 3 – 548 votes.

When it comes to Capcom games with licensed characters, players want to see the following items return:

  1. Street Fighter X Tekken – 828.
  2. Marvel vs Capcom 2 – 453.
  3. Marvel vs. Capcom 2: A New Age of Heroes – 377.
  4. The Nightmare Before Christmas: Augie’s Revenge – 281.
  5. Marvel vs. Capcom 3: The Fate of Two Worlds – 277.

It’s unclear whether Microsoft plans to expand the list of games in the backwards compatibility program this year, but rumors about it have surfaced multiple times.
