It has been one year since the official release of “Hades II”, and Supergiant Games decided to prepare several gifts for players to celebrate this day. Major surprises include a new documentary series about the game’s creation and recordings of major concerts.
The main event will be a multi-part documentary produced by Noclip about the development of Hades II. The project is called “Developing Hell II” and continues the series about the creation of the first Hell. The authors promise to show the working process of their biggest projects, and the first episode can be viewed by Noclip subscribers on Patreon.
Another gift is the complete video of the “Hellsong” concert. The show, which took place at London’s Royal Festival Hall in June and featured music from both sides of hell, sold out the venue. Subsequently, Supergiant Games plans to release the concert album for purchase and free listening on available music platforms.
The anniversary also sees the launch of a new Melinoe T-shirt from Fangamer. Hades II itself has two other reasons to be proud of: the game is officially compatible with Steam Frame and has achieved Steam Machine Verified status. The developers have been testing the project on new Valve devices, comparing the experience to playing on a giant movie screen.

Not every game can become a legend, Supergiant Games understands this and has no illusions. Greg Kasavin, the studio’s creative director, admitted that most projects fade from players’ memories over time, and Hades II will likely face the same fate.
