The experimental emulator SharpEmu has made significant progress: 12 of the 55 games tested on PlayStation 5 are already playable directly, and the developers marked 6 of them as “playable” with frame rates as high as 60 FPS.
The list includes Dreaming Sarah, Terrarium, New Joe & Mac: Caveman Ninja, Tetris Forever, Hoa, and Tomb Raider IV-VI Remastered. At the same time, “playable” status does not mean a perfect job from start to finish: minor graphical or sound errors may still exist in some projects. For example, Tomb Raider IV-VI Remastered has minor visual flaws.

SharpEmu itself is still an early project. Its database currently tracks more than 9,000 PS5 games, but only a small portion of the library has been verified. More demanding projects are still in their early stages. For example, Demon’s Souls achieved gameplay but suffered from severe graphics issues and poor performance, while GTA V only reached the point of selection.
