Chronicles of the Ancient Age introduces the Berserker class, a fighter designed for the front line. He charges into enemy formations, absorbs blows, and can empower his allies with his battle cry. From the description, it was clear that retreating was not part of his job description.
The profession is associated with Shyagon, the god of fertility and Gon’s founder. Oluo once studied time magic and tried to resurrect his dead relatives, but after returning from the garden, he gained divine power and became Shahagon. His army possesses huge axes, hammers and shields, capable of crushing even Delfinad. God’s followers now receive His protection and strength to destroy their enemies.

The berserker can choose between an ax and shield or a warhammer. The first option focuses on survivability and control: the character can knock opponents away, pull them with chains, charge into crowds and take less damage. The second one turns the hero into a heavy attack machine with fire and thunder attacks, and the accumulated energy allows for an especially powerful series of attacks.
The developers offer two roles to choose from: Defenders who can hold the line and Destroyers who can divide it. In both cases, the Berserker’s location is still a particularly enemy-rich location.
