The MMORPG Misa Online development team has released the third installment of its development diary, revealing key changes and new projects currently in active development. The update affects the combat dynamics, economy, and visual design of the game world.
Key release details:
- New Warrior Movement System: Based on player feedback after the demo, movement physics have been completely rebuilt. Taking into account the weight of the equipment, the class now has two different sets of animations (when fighting with two-handed weapons and outside of two-handed weapons), and there is also a system for correcting the position of the feet on uneven surfaces (Foot IK).
- Universal skill sprint: Press the button quickly to perform an instant dodge action and escape from the affected area. Press and hold it to launch a powerful “sprint dash” that accumulates distance and speed.
- Merchant System: Players will be able to open their own shops in villages, and automated NPC sellers will be able to continue trading even offline. The developers paid special attention to optimization: in stress tests, a market with 1,000 stores ran without a noticeable drop in frame rate due to smooth object appearance and remote rendering.
- New boss and equipment: Ancient guard Zeharun will appear on the desert map in the body of a jackal, controlling sand magic and launching powerful physical attacks. Additionally, Dragon Breath weapon sets have been introduced for four classes, featuring detailed scales, gold jewelry, and gems.
